World War Click is a free multiplayer browser game: every player in a world shares the same world map and fights for their home country, one click at a time. This guide explains every rule – from your first click to the week-long Click War.
1. Getting started: your home country
First you choose a home country. You fight for it for the whole round. Every country has 100% health – whether it is Russia or Luxembourg. Big countries are not tougher, they are just easier to hit. A country can have up to 50 active players, a world up to 200.
If you join a round that is already running: during the first 2 minutes, new countries start at full health; after that, they start with the average health of all participating countries (fallen ones count as 0%). After 10 minutes no new countries can enter – you join a country that is already playing or wait for the next round. In the menu you can set a preferred country; matchmaking then looks for a world where it may join.
2. Clicks and damage
One click on a foreign country removes 0.013% of its health. That sounds tiny – on your own you would need more than 7,000 clicks for a whole country. That is the point: countries fall when many players attack together. Every click counts the same for every player, no matter how big their country is. At most 10 clicks per second count.
Clicks on your own country or your allies do nothing. Only buildings bring health back: the field hospital heals, the shield generator puts a protective layer over your country. Countries without active players are protected and cannot be attacked.
3. Coins
Every 20 effective clicks earn you one coin. You spend coins on weapons and buildings. You earn more when your country is “under fire”: the three countries taking the most fresh damage earn 3×, 2.5× and 2× coins per click. First place also clicks with 1.5× strength, so an attacked country can fight back. Joining a country that urgently needs reinforcements gives 20 bonus coins.
4. Weapons
| Weapon | Price | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Missile | 10 coins | 3.5% damage to one country – about as much as 270 clicks. |
| Mega bomb | 50 coins | 16% to the target; the blast wave hits neighbouring countries for 4%. |
Every weapon you buy can be fired once. Missiles fly visibly across the map – the target's missile defence can intercept them.
5. Turrets and buildings
Every player can run up to 4 turrets at the same time.
| Building | Price | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Cannon | 25 coins | Fires every 3 seconds at a target of your choice. |
| Missile silo | 60 coins | Launches a missile every 8 seconds – slower, but harder hitting. |
| Missile defence | 50 coins | Intercepts a missile or mega bomb that would hit your country or alliance; reloads for 30 seconds. One per player. |
| Field hospital | 40 coins | Heals your country or alliance automatically every 4 seconds. One per player. |
| Shield generator | 30 coins | Instantly puts a shield (4%) over your country. Attacks must break the shield first. Shields stack up to 12%. |
6. Presidents and orders
Every 5 minutes each country holds an election: whoever dealt the most damage this round becomes president. If the president is inactive for 2 minutes, the runner-up takes over. The president gives orders to every player of the country and its allies – for example “Attack France!” or “Arm Germany!”. Orders appear as a banner across the screen. Only the president negotiates alliances.
7. Alliances
Small countries can ally to stand up to big countries with many players. An alliance shares one health bar and its shields. So that no alliance becomes overpowered, it may not have more active players in total than the largest single country in the world. When the shared bar runs out, the whole alliance falls.
8. Events
Every 3 to 6 minutes something special happens for 40 seconds:
- Coin rush: 5× coins.
- Berserk: 3× click damage.
- Healing wave: 4× armour and healing (including shields and hospitals).
9. When your country falls
If your home country falls, you enter observer mode. Your country does not come back this round, but you can still take revenge: you click with 25% strength against the country that brought you down (and its alliance). The “Back to menu” button lets you start over at any time.
10. End of the round
A quick round lasts at most 28 minutes. The winner is the country or alliance with the most health – or the last one standing. Then everything starts again; you keep your coins, ammunition and turrets.
11. The Click War
The Click War is one single world for everyone – a season lasts 7 days with up to 1,000 players. Your home country is based on your location. You register during the first 24 hours of a season; the earlier you join, the more starting coins you get (up to 150). Because a season runs so long, each click is only one fiftieth as strong as in a quick round, and countries stay attackable while their players are offline. Presidents are elected every 2 hours for a fixed term.
12. Skins, map themes and click counter
Click skins (e.g. laser, sword, lightning) change how your clicks look and sound. Map themes such as silent film, night, radar, winter or island world change how the map looks and sounds for you – other players see their own theme. Both are purely cosmetic and give no gameplay advantage. The click counter counts your effective clicks across all rounds.
