The whole map in the style of an old game console: hard pixels, bold retro colours (green, yellow, red for health), thick black outlines and 8-bit sound – missiles and explosions included. The effect runs entirely on the graphics chip and costs hardly any performance.
· President’s order always in view
Your president’s current order now stays at the top of the game – for example “President says: Attack France!”. It stays until a new order arrives or the target has fallen; tap it to show the target country on the map.
· Guide, strategy tips and FAQ
New on the website: a detailed game guide, strategy tips for attack, defence and the Click War, and answers to frequently asked questions.
· New map theme: Island World
A strange world full of water: every country becomes its own island, the continents stay recognisable, and the Americas move closer to Europe and Africa.
· Click counter across all rounds
A round counter in the menu and at the top centre of the game shows your effective clicks across all rounds – with a progress ring to the next goal. It counts against bots, against players and in the Click War.
· Silent film theme reworked
In the silent film theme a fill level like in a glass now shows how much health a country has left; participating countries are bright, non-participating ones hatched.
· Map themes
The map can now look and sound completely different: silent film with film grain, night with city lights, treasure map, radar, winter with snowmen and lava world. Every player sees their own theme.
· Back to the menu faster
When your country has fallen, a button takes you straight back to the main menu.
· Better sound and a smoother map
All click sounds are now equally loud and no longer get lost when clicking fast. In the endgame with many fallen countries the map runs much more smoothly.
· President banner and hotspots
When you become president, a banner congratulates you. Damage numbers on the map now show the real hotspots: where most is happening, the numbers are bigger. The start menu shows how many players are online.
· World War Click launches
World War Click is online: quick rounds against players from around the world, playing against bots, a tutorial and the Click War – in 16 languages.
